The World Doesn’t Have A Sin Problem

I want to talk to you today, about sin.

So let me start by saying this – The world doesn’t have a sin problem.

Over the years, many well-meaning Christians have repeated the mantra that goes something like this:

If God doesn’t bring judgment on America

for its sin, then He will have to apologize

to both Sodom and Gomorrah!

But that is absolutely false.

While it sounds good on the surface, nevertheless it cannot stand up to the scrutiny of the Word of God, and is nothing more than a statement based on religious ideas - and the world doesn’t need more religion.

The Bible-based truth of the matter is this:

If God did judge America for its sin, then He

would have to apologize to Jesus Christ.”

Let me ask you, the reader, a question: “When were your sins forgiven?”

At what point were you relieved of that heavy burden? Did it happen at the time you answered the altar call, and went forward to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour? Did God forgive your sins at that moment?”

No!

God did not forgive any of your sins on that day … not even one of them.

So exactly when did God forgive your sin? Well that is a great question. God forgave all your sin, and indeed the sins of all mankind, on the day Jesus Christ went to the cross, shed His blood, and died.

This was the precise moment in history!

On that day, God supernaturally took all of the sin debt owed by mankind, and laid it upon the flesh of the One who had never once done wrong.

On that day, God made Him who knew no sin, to become sin for us, that we might be made the very righteousness of God.

On that day, God finally got to do something He had always wanted to do throughout the centuries - He put a viscious beating on sin, venting all of His terrible wrath and judgment upon it until His anger was fully satisfied.

Please understand this, my brothers and sisters.  Not only were you not a Christian when your sin debt was paid … not only did you not even know the name of Jesus when your sin debt was paid … but your sin debt was paid nearly two thousand years before you were even born!

God loved you so very much – as evidenced through the person of Jesus Christ – that He personally saw to it your sin debt was completely paid off and discharged, twenty centuries before you were ever conceived inside your Mama!

Before anyone else ever thought of you, God had a perfect plan in place to make you free indeed, through Jesus Christ.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

- It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re Asian or Hispanic …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re Catholic or Charismatic …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re Hindu, Muslim, or Buddhist …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re educated or uneducated …

- It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor …

There is only one thing that matters – the finished work of Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world, that He gave

His only begotten Son, that whosoever

believes on Him would not perish, but

have everlasting life.

- John 3: 16

Every single person who is reading this, was born without a sin problem.  Every single one of you.  Now don’t misunderstand me.  I am not for one moment suggesting that we never sin - but I am saying that the debt for it has been completely paid and fully discharged in the eyes of a Just and Holy God.

This is the indisputable truth!

Indeed, the crushing sin debt of all mankind has been fully paid for ”twice over” as written by Isaiah the prophet. Man will never be judged for his sin, because God has already fully judged all the sins of the world almost two thousand years ago, in the person of Jesus Christ!  The debt cannot be charged a second time.

Yes, one day all the nations of the world will be judged.  But it won’t be on account of their sin.  It will be due to their rejection of Jesus Christ.

There is now only one thing needed in order to gain eternal life: You must be born again! (John 3: 1-7)

The world doesn’t have a sin problem. It has a Son (acceptance) problem.

You must be born again. (John 3: 1-7)

We don’t become born again by giving our life to Jesus Christ, but rather, we become born again by inviting Jesus into our heart, who quite literally comes to dwell in us, giving His life to us.

Oh Hallelujah!

The first Adam had two major problems:

1.  Adam sinned

2. Adam died (spiritually).

But now the second Adam, in the person of Jesus Christ, came and fully paid for mankind’s sin problem (part 1), and now it’s up to you to invite Jesus into your heart and replace the spiritual death within you (part 2), with the free gift of Spiritual (Eternal) Life.

You must be born again! (John 3: 1-7)

Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart now to live with you, and be a part of you forever. I can promise you that He will, and, in so doing, give you Eternal Life.
